FAQs

What is the difference between the A1 and the A1 Combo?

The A1 includes the 3D printer and its standard accessories.

The A1 Combo additionally includes one AMS lite for automatic filament loading, switching and multi-color printing. The printer specifications and core printing functions are otherwise the same.

How many colors can the A1 Combo print?

The A1 Combo supports printing with up to four colors using the included AMS lite. The A1 supports one AMS lite at a time.

The A1 can also work with compatible AMS, AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT systems through the required AMS Hub, but these systems cannot be used together with AMS lite.

What is the maximum build volume of the A1?

The A1 provides a 256 × 256 × 256mm build volume, offering enough space for prototypes, decorative models, functional parts and many everyday printing projects.

What materials can the A1 print?

PLA, PETG, TPU and PVA are suitable materials for the A1.

Because the A1 has an open-frame design, high-temperature materials such as ABS, ASA, PC, PA and fiber-reinforced filaments are not recommended for large or demanding prints. Abrasive filaments require a suitable hardened-steel nozzle.

Does the A1 require manual calibration?

The A1 features full-auto calibration and automatically completes key procedures such as Z-offset calibration, bed leveling, vibration calibration and nozzle pressure calibration before printing.

It also uses active flow rate compensation to improve extrusion consistency and surface quality.
